Old-Time Dance Band or “Danceband” is an introduction to Canadian Fiddling for ages 7 – 11, and is the first steppingstone toward joining the renowned BC Fiddle Orchestra (BCFO). The repertoire for the Old-Time Dance Band is firmly rooted in prairie dance music and consists of waltzes, polkas and schottisches. The group prepares tunes to play for community dances during the year.

Participation is by audition. Non-fiddlers are also welcome to audition and be part of the rhythm section.
