An exciting and new initiative from the Victoria Conservatory, The Metro Big Band will give students an incredible opportunity to explore the big band jazz tradition while improving their musicianship and instrumental abilities. Led by Juno-nominated saxophonist Ryan Oliver, the band will rehearse weekly in a challenging, supportive and inspiring environment, focusing on a wide variety of composers and arrangers culminating in a public performance each semester.
To join this class at a prorated rate please email carroll@vcm.bc.ca to set up a simple video audition. Some applicants will be accepted based on a positive referral.
