What: GonnawannaDRUMagin' Join FACT and Shark City Drumming for another round of our Drum Line and rhythm class! GonnawannaDRUMagin' is a 10-week creative drumming program with certified drumming instructors and teaching artists. Each session will explore the different techniques needed to play a drum: rhythm, holding of the drum sticks, different beat counts, and playing a drumming piece. FACT and Shark City will host one 10-week course. Our last 2 weeks of class will be considered the dress rehearsal. Our drummers and their families will be invited to the final showcase on December 13. The showcase will be open to all families and guests (whoever buys tickets)- more details will be provided after the start of class. Materials and instruction will be provided. Families will be responsible for transportation to the site location. A Shark City / FACT t-shirt will be included- to wear during the showcase performance and then to take home. Performers/Volunteers will be required to wear black bottoms and a black top for the day of the performance. Who: Volunteers must be 10 or older Volunteers will follow/model directions/activities and actively engage with participants with autism. Volunteers ages 11 and 12 can volunteer IF an adult (responsible party) remains on campus and responsible for the volunteer under age. Training is not required, but volunteers are expected to behave in a mature and responsible manner. Volunteers need not to be proficient in the sport.
