About this event
Baylor TIP Camp is primarily residential, but families may select a day camp option. Students will stay in the dorms with Resident Assistants Sunday night through Friday nights, going home Saturday morning. Course offerings will run from 9am to 4pm, and social events and activities will be held every evening. Meals are included with registration. Students who elect to commute to camp will have the option of participating in the breakfast and staying for evening activities if they choose. Students must have been admitted to Baylor TIP to enroll. Sports Medicine: Injury Diagnostics and Treatment From ankle sprains to ACL tears to concussions, sports injuries can bench players for a few games or end their entire careers. While most fans are aware of the dangers that can occur when athletes play competitive sports, few know what happens behind the scenes when athletes like Damar Hamlin and Tua Tagovailoa go down on the field. Learn more about the team-behind-the-team providing medical care for athletes. Build an understanding of basic anatomical structures and explore the most common injuries that occur in sports. Using case studies and in-class simulations, diagnose injuries and analyze what goes into creating a treatment plan. Level: TIP Academy
