Be a rocket scientist! Design and build your own original rocket from scratch supplies like paper, glue, and balsa. Students will explore how the structure and operation of rockets is a delicate balance where seemingly small changes and imperfections can have spectacular (and sometimes cataclysmic) results. This is a hands-on experience where students build their own unique rockets, test them, launch them, and then refine the design. Along the way, they experience how science and engineering work together to produce new tools and discoveries, one small step/giant leap at a time. $50 deducted from allotment.
