In this teen charcoal drawing class, students will build strong drawing foundations while exploring the expressive possibilities of charcoal and pastel.
Students will learn to use line, value, and shading to create depth and realism, practice proportion and composition, and experiment with light and shadow to bring their subjects to life. Along the way, they’ll try different techniques, including blending, building, and erasing, using vine charcoal and transitioning to colored pastels, while gaining confidence in developing their artistic style.

This is a 10-week, 1.5 hr. class.
