Vibrant Landscapes in Gouachew/Abby OberSaturday, June 1410:00am - 3:30 pmThis class will focus on color theory using a limited palette of colors to create two or more dramatic landscapes from your own images.
Discover the best ways to apply gouache working from the larger shapes down to the details. We will be working smaller than 8 x 10. The instructor will provide demonstrations, instruction on color mixing and application. Discover more about gouache as a great medium for studies for larger pieces and for working "en plein air".
Supplies:
A small set Set Holbein Artist Gouache or Winsor Newton Designer Gouache.
Make sure you have three primaries, white and a tube of burnt sienna.
Gessoed white watercolor paper 8 x 10 or 9x12 (paper can be gessoed beforehand)
A few synthetic short handled brushes..2-3 flats and 1smaller round for details
Masterson sta wet palette or paper palette pad, any size.
Paper towels, cup/glass for water, artist tape or painters tape for edges.
A stiff board to tape your paper to such as gatorboard, a piece of wood or a drawing board.
Several colorful photos of your own, printed or from your tablet.
