About this event

Description

The Senior Lounge is free to access and is exclusively for registered individuals fifty-five (55) and older. To ensure the quality and enjoyment of the Senior Lounge, and to promote an overall safe environment, all individuals using the Senior Lounge shall abide by the following:
  • All persons must be age verified and registered. Proof of age must be in the original form of a legal document such as a birth certificate, ID, or medical card. Copies will not be accepted.
  • All persons must register quarterly.
  • All persons may be required to check/sign in daily.
  • All persons shall act with respect towards others; respect their privacy, and personal safety.
  • All persons shall treat private property, City facilities and equipment with respect.
  • Observe all facility rules and regulations at all times.
  • Use of electrical outlets must be kept to a 30-minute maximum in times of high demand.
  • Large suitcases/bags, oversized storage containers, or bulky items must be left outdoors.
  • All items must not be left unattended for an extended period of time. Items left inside upon closure will be disposed of.

The following is prohibited:
  • Eating or storing food.
  • Shopping carts, wheeled trolleys, and other large carrying devices.
  • Alcohol, smoking, vaping, or illegal substances.
  • Camping, sleeping or lying down on tables, chairs, or floor.
  • Items that obstruct walkways or seating areas.
  • Violence, lewd comments or behavior in any form.
  • Aggressive, threatening, or intimidating behavior.
  • Profanity and rudeness.
  • Disruption of meetings and classes, special programs, or activities.
  • Loud music or conversation (overriding others' conversation or activity).
  • Plugging in and/or charging of large electronics/items (generator, refrigerator, tv, etc.).
  • Unregistered individuals.

City staff and security have the authority to enforce all policies. Violators may be subject to the removal and/or permanent expulsion of the Senior Lounge and/or Plummer Park Community Center. Policies may be changed or amended at any time and are in addition to all other rules and policies pertaining to the City of West Hollywood.
