Leadership in Action is designed for students entering Grade 8 and 9 to develop communication and conflict resolution skills while building empathy for the world around them. You will work as a group, and independently, to apply leadership skills to solve complex problems. This application-focused program will help students learn about leadership styles and better understand who they are as a leader. Topics include: leadership, communication, and response styles, conflict and resolution, empathy, and digital citizenship. There will be a strong focus on leadership in the digital world, using real life, age appropriate examples, such as Instagram influencers and YouTube stars. Enjoy outdoor activities including the low ropes course at the Wentworth Campus and have an opportunity to plan and lead games for some of our younger campers. Leave with a better understanding of your self, others, and and how you can apply what you've learned into your daily life. This program will build on the skills learned in the 'Junior Leader' program, but Junior Leader isn't a pre-requisite to participate in this program.
