About this event
In Science 10 students will learn about DNA, chemical reactions, conservation of energy, and the formation of the universe. They will explore these topics through online research and observations of the world around them in order to form hypotheses. We will test their hypotheses about chemical reactions and energy by planning and conducting investigations, and then processing, analyzing, and evaluating the results. Students will learn to apply both Euro-centric and Indigenous perspectives while learning about various topics, including the formation of the universe, and will communicate their evidence-based arguments using appropriate scientific language. This hands-on course will allow students to explore the scientific world in order to gain both the knowledge and skills they need in science courses going forward.  Science 10 satisfies the BC Ministry of Education requirement for graduation. Current G9 Mulgrave students may audit this course as a review before entering G10 Science. *This course is a 4-week for-credit course offered from July 11-Aug 1st. Instructor: R. Brunswick-Werner
