Serve a Scoop - Camp Leader - Samantha Heath - July 14-18 - 9 am - 2 pm - Rising 4th, 5th, & 6th Graders - $350 (lunch included) - Stretch your creative and culinary skills by making delicious ice cream. - Learn the science of making ice cream, innovate by imagining new and unique flavors, and create a yummy treat that will also benefit the community. - Ice Cream Innovation offers a fun and tasty way to engage with the community, as the ice cream we produce will be served at The Shalom Project’s Big Chill fundraiser on Saturday, July 19, helping to raise money for Winston-Salem’s vulnerable neighbors. - No prior ice cream or culinary experience is necessary. - We will take one trip off-campus to taste ice cream at local shops, drawing inspiration for our flavors and visiting The Shalom Project’s site to learn about their work. - All parents and campers are invited to attend The Big Chill on Saturday, July 19, to see their ice cream in action.
