Black and White Oil Painting (5 sessions) Adult | Beginner - Intermediate Instructor: Michael Cooley Fridays, August 1 – August 29 10:00am – 1:00pm In this 5-week class, students will work toward creating a fully rendered painting in black and white oil paint. This type of painting is called an underpainting. This is a great way to learn how to handle paint without the complications of color. Once the student completes this class, they will be ready to move on to our next class, “From Drawing to Painting in Full Color”, a 10 week class, offering in Fall Term 2025. In this 5 weeks “Black and White Oil Painting” class, your instructor Mr. Cooley will explain the assignment and objectives. He will demonstrate each exercise, step by step to insure the students' success. The students will observe the demonstration then work on their own assignment. There will also be homework given each week to bring to class the following week. Mr. Cooley will supply the students printed images of exercises to work on during class.
