Encaustic Painting and Collage Workshop (1 session) (Fall #1) High School - Adult | All Skill Levels Instructor: Juliette Montague (Fall #1) Saturday, September 20th 10:00am – 4:00pm Learn basic encaustic collage, assemblage, and image making techniques to expand your mixed media art making! Encaustic painting, also known as hot wax painting, is a form of painting that involves a heated wax medium to which colored pigments have been added. The molten mix is applied to a surface—usually prepared wood, though canvas and other materials are sometimes used. Most supplies are provided by the instructor. Students are encouraged to bring any personal collage materials. Wooden surfaces will not be provided. Please bring 1-2 small wooden surfaces such as cradled wood to work on- no larger than 11” x 14” at the most. FEE: $100 Painting/Drawing Classroom, 2nd Level Approx.
