This APPRENTICESHIP training program equips candidates with the skills needed to pass the State of Maine CNA Exam while providing test-taking practice, contextualized English skills building, and digital skills practice. Schedule- 2 days/week from 9/22-10/11 and 5 days/week from 10/13-12/31. Location- Classes are held at Gorham Adult Education and Brentwood Rehab in Yarmouth. Apprentices will earn $17.50 per hour during classroom training. After earning their CNA certificate-the pay rate would increase to $22 per hour, with the potential for additional shift differentials. To qualify: -- Be 18 years old or older -- Pass a Reading Comprehension Evaluation (called CASAS) with a score of 230 or higher (High School Level) -- Pass a criminal background check, provide proof of immunization and be eligible to work in the US. -- Complete interviews with Gorham Adult Ed & Brentwood
